Calling all Members! This is your day!  To thank you for your membership and continued support of the North Museum, the Volunteer Associates are planning a “Members Only” party!  Join us for refreshments, Family Science Sunday fun, and a guest speaker, exclusively for North Museum Members.  This year’s guest speaker is Matt Binder, Earth Science teacher at Hempfield High School and on-air meteorologist for WGAL.  Matt will share with us his experiences as a candidate for NASA's "Teacher in Space" program.  Out of 11, 000 applicants, Matt was chosen to be one of the 100 to go to Houston for a 7 day interview and astronaut training. 35 of the 100 at Houston were teachers. Unfortunately Matt was not chosen as one of the final three.  Matt's presentation will begin at 2pm.

2   Family Science Sunday
Make the first Sunday your family funday!!   Explore the Museum and participate in the hands-on activities, live demonstrations, interactives and more!  Family Science Sunday is included in the admission and free for members!  Science fun for everyone! Sponsored by the Dart Foundation.

8   Grands Are GRAND!
Saturday 10:30 am                                                                                                                                                                           “Grands are GRAND!” will explore Eggs, Eggs, and More Eggs.  The “Grands are GRAND!” workshops are interactive for young visitors ages 3-5 and their favorite young-at-heart grandparents, and combine literacy, science, and a take-home craft. Registration is required for all classes.

Scaly and slithery creatures are the stars of this show! Visitors will come face-to-face with snakes, turtles and lizards to learn about diverse reptilian lifestyles from Philadelphia Zoo educators.
