5 Bonus Ssslithering Sssaturday! We are having ssssso much sssssslithering fun we want you to join us for more snake adventures! Saturday, April 5, 1:30 and 3:00 pm Snakes: Venomous or Not? Jack Hubley Several species of snakes look alike. Are you confused? Jack Hubley, the host of “Wild Moments” on WGAL-TV, will introduce us to the differences between venomous and non-venomous snakes. He will present tips on how to identify snakes and what to look for if you encounter a snake. Live specimens will include a southern copperhead and a northern water snake. 6 Family Science Sunday 12-4pm Make the first Sunday your family funday! Family Science Sunday is included in the admission and free for members! Science fun for everyone! 12 Grands Are GRAND! Saturday, 10:30am The “Grands are GRAND!” workshops are interactive for young visitors ages 3-5 and their favorite young-at-heart grandparents, and combine literacy, science, and a take-home craft. Meet the Snakes Up close and personal—touch a live snake or two while you learn about their bodies, survival skills and habitats.

Farm-raised alligator goodies will be prepared by a Cajun chef. 1:30 pm What Is A Reptile? Bob Weidman, North Museum Animal Caretaker Just what is a reptile and how are they different from other animals? Meet the North Museum’s turtles, lizards, and snakes to discover the answer. Examine various hands-on materials including turtle shells and snakeskin, and have a close encounter with the North Museum’s live animal collection. 3:00 pm Tracking an Endangered Reptile George Gress, Project Manager, Acopian Preserve The Nature Conservancy Explore the natural history of bog turtles and learn about the Nature Conservancy’s radio telemetry studies involving these endangered reptiles. Discover how bog turtle surveys are conducted and the process through which their habitat is protected. We will, also, be presented with the newest information regarding the lifespan of bog turtles and how they are aged.
