PoP Summer Camps – two sessions available!
This summer’s Portal to the Public camps for 11 to 14 year olds will explore current research and real world applications in biotechnology and alternative energy. Participants will work with local scientists from local colleges and area businesses, and will also feature hands on activities lead by North Museum Curator of Science, Jim Ringlein.
Biotechnology (July 12-16) – This camp is an excellent opportunity to explore one of the most rapidly growing and fascinating fields of Biology. Investigate and explore using the newest in scientific technology and learn about the many careers biotechnology can provide.
Alternative Energy Sources (August 2-6) – Solar, wind, water - what does it all mean to you? Throughout the week, we’ll take a look at the latest research in producing and saving energy without using fossil fuels.
