Sci-Tech Club - Microcontrollers
This fall, the North Museum Sci-Tech Club will investigate how Arduino microcontrollers can sense the environment by receiving input from a variety of sensors and can affect its surroundings by controlling light, sound and motion. For more information, visit www.Arduino.cc.
Participation between meetings is an important part of this session of Sci-Tech Club. Therefore, the cost of an Arduino (Duemilanove version) is included in the club materials fee; participants will be able to keep the microcontroller. Participants also need to have access to a computer with a USB port and the internet.
Sci-Tech Club is designed for middle and high school-age students. Meetings are Saturday mornings from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 25, Oct. 9 and 23, Nov. 6 and 20 and Dec. 4.
Club Fee: $40 for North Museum members, $50 for non-members. All participants will also have a $35 materials fee.
