Volunteering at the North Museum lets you explore, discover and gain new experiences as you serve in a variety of support roles. Volunteers have fun learning and sharing skills, meeting new people and enjoying other benefits, including:

Volunteer Opportunities
Clerical Assistant: Assists with labeling, data entry, copying and computer work.
Collections Assistant/Curator: Assists with cataloging and with additional tasks, based on qualifications.
Docent and Museum Guides: Provide visitors with information on exhibits, demonstrate activities and guide visitors through the Museum.
Educational Assistant: Conducts educational programs in the Museum and in the community.
Exhibit Preparation Assistant: Assists with installation and movement of exhibits. Carpentry skills are helpful but not required.
Handy Helper: Assists with odd jobs and routine maintenance.
Live Animal Room Attendant: Educates visitors about the Museum's reptiles and other live animals. Assists in live animal room maintenance. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Planetarium Operator: Interact with audiences while running the planetarium programs
Special Events Assistant: Assists with set-up and activities on special family days and weekends.
Visitor Services Associate: Gives general information to visitors and callers, and assists customers in the gift shop.
